U.S. Rep. Cárdenas votes to make it easier for illegal aliens to vote in federal elections
U.S. Rep. Tony Cárdenas (D-CA) voted against the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, known as the SAVE Act, which would require individuals to provide proof of U.S. citizenship when registering to vote in federal elections and bar illegal aliens from voting.

U.S. Rep. Brad Sherman (D-CA) was joined by 201 other House Democrats in unanimously voting against the Equal Representation Act, which would prevent the inclusion of illegal aliens in the count for seats in the Electoral College.
